Uniform

Uniform and Equipment

Wearing a uniform helps to foster an understanding of self discipline.

If a student prepares themselves physically for class, they are likely to have the correct mindset for a working atmosphere. Wearing the correct uniform shows respect; for the teacher, their instruction and their classmates. This is all part of the discipline of dance, always needed for those who strive to do their best, are going to take exams, or take part in festivals and shows.

Notes on uniform for Non-Binary and Non-CIS Gender students

Allied Schools of Dance is a safe place for all students, and as such we are working to ensure that all students are comfortable in their uniform. Alongside Dancia our uniform stockists, we have preliminarily designed a uniform to be a ‘mix and match’ so that non-binary and non cis gender students can chose the elements they feel most comfortable with but at the same time retaining the high standard expected for the discipline of ballet. However, we are open and willing to learn from you and therefore encourage non-binary and non-cis gender students to have a conversation with the principal regarding their uniform requirements before purchase.

Our official uniform stockist are Dancia International who have local branches in Caversham and Crowthorne

Please ensure you purchase your uniform from Dancia to ensure your uniform is correct.
